Decorate now the highest celebration: Easter!
Easter is almost here! Easter decorations and spring decorations are of course both currently in vogue, but for most people Easter is the highest celebration of Christianity and also of spring - which now wants to be put in the right light with the right Easter decorations. Homefinity inspires you again with a diverse selection of creative decoration ideas.
The Easter bunny and bunny decorations play a major role in the highest of Christian festivals. But where does the custom come from? Easter celebrates the resurrection of Jesus and the victory of life over death. The hare, just like the egg, has always been considered a symbol of fertility and thus became a symbol of Jesus during the Easter holidays. At Homefinity you will find an enchanting and especially large selection of bunny decorations - made of fine porcelain, real wood or, for example, as cheerful and colourful springtime hangers and plugs made of metal. And it doesn't always have to be ordinary: artistic bunny decorations, e.g. bunny figures with accents made of wool and fabric, are further creative ideas for your new Easter decoration.
The Orthodox Easter, or Pascha (Greek: evraïkó Páscha), is the highest festival of the Orthodox Church and is even more important than Christmas. After the day of mourning for the crucifixion of Jesus on Good Friday, on which no housework may be done, the preparations for the traditional Passover begin. In Greece, for example, this means especially elaborately decorated churches, going to church on Saturday night and a big celebration with grilled Easter lamb on Sunday. Although colourful eggs are now also used for Easter decorations, the Easter eggs (Greek: ?as?a???? a???) are traditionally usually coloured red. The colour of the decorative eggs is meant to symbolise the shed blood of Jesus Christ on the cross. The Easter table is also decorated festively and lavishly with candles and flowers. Because of their reusability and sustainability, artificial flowers are also becoming increasingly popular for Orthodox celebrations. By the way, in Greece and Russia, Easter is not calculated according to our Gregorian calendar, but according to the Julian calendar and therefore takes place later. Only every five years do both Christian religions celebrate on the same date.
